Our advice; make sure you get to see this magnificent structure at least once. At the time of signing a contract with the renovation company the owners of the 1950s big old Mosi House never thought that their house could ever look as wonderful as it is now. In fact Nico van der Meulen Architects from South Africa simply did the unthinkable.
The ground floor is occupied by the garage and home cinema while the rest of the spaces are split between private and social rooms. Here a mezzanine level features two rooms connected by a living-study opening towards a patio garden. Upstairs occupying the first floor lie the kitchen and dining room while the second floor shelters the bedrooms. Topped off with a pool terrace on the roof the narrow home is surely a successful residential project.

The lot is located at a dead-end region of street and at its back rest a public park. The kitchen has been maintained as a public place while the dining room is also spacious enough to contain a large Israeli family. There are separate bedrooms for kids and parents which are now common in contemporary residences.
Designed by architect Desmond Ong on a minimalist concept the Singapore residence has had its wall removed so as to provide the feel of open space. It is light airy and seemingly spacious. By avoiding bulky interiors and furniture the design has been given a sense of added openness. Usage of light colors and large glass windows gives also adds to large space outlook. The bedrooms and the bathroom designs are kept very simple while the open glass windows provide fro a green view outside.

It will be easier to install easier to clean and easier to use. Besides flounces and ruffles look pretty bad once they start to show even a little dirt or wear.
