This stone house can be appreciated in its natural state – a residential construction that merges with the surroundings but features straight bold design lines easily recognizable from contemporary architecture. Surrounded by stone walls the interiors display an inviting atmosphere but keep a sober elegance and a minimalist interior design.
Designed by architect Desmond Ong on a minimalist concept the Singapore residence has had its wall removed so as to provide the feel of open space. It is light airy and seemingly spacious. By avoiding bulky interiors and furniture the design has been given a sense of added openness. Usage of light colors and large glass windows gives also adds to large space outlook. The bedrooms and the bathroom designs are kept very simple while the open glass windows provide fro a green view outside.

Speaking of the open dining space the 10-person dining set grabs the eye as it’s stunningly illuminated by a series of cube pendants. Even more fascinating are the rays of the rising and setting sun flow in similar pattern into the dining room.

A couple of years ago Bark Design Architects got a contract to design a building at really vibrant landscape. And when the project was completed it turned out to be a magnificent structure and we now call it the Complex Maleny House.
Further cooling is provided by wooden paneling given at intervals along the tall walls. The interior looks as wonderful as exterior. Very beautiful and expensive furniture are just another brilliant treat to your eyes. The house gets its design after taking positional environmental and climatic factors into consideration. The designers seem to have taken extra care to provide a good amount of privacy.
